5-Axis Machining

Fisher Tool and Design is proud to utilize machinery that is of the highest industry standards, such as the Millac 1000VH from Okuma. This 5-axis multi-plane machining center combines high speed with high rigidity. The multi-face machining capability allows for machining of a complex work piece in one setup. This improves part accuracy by eliminating the setup errors inherent in re-fixturing the part. In addition, the 5-axis multi-plane machining reduces set-up time and allows for project completion in as much as a third of the time with standard machining.

With a swivel spindle, this five axis machine is capable of machining inclined surfaces with 0.001 degree indexing. One-chuck, multi-sided machining provides improved accuracy, reduced tool change time and significant increases in productivity. This machine is great for aerospace and other industries that require process-intensive machining. Fisher Tool and Design is the only company in the region to offer this precision machining.
